Water Intake Reminder is a free hydration-tracking app that lets you set a daily water goal, log your water intake in one or two taps, and receive reminders to drink water throughout the day. To personalise your goal, the app asks you for a few basic profile details. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app records and how it is handled.
Everything you enter in the app — your profile, water logs, and settings — is stored locally on your device only. It has no account system, and the information you enter is never transmitted to the developer or to any server and is never shared. You can delete all of it from within the app at any time. The app shows banner ads served by Google AdMob; that is the only part of the app that uses the Internet, and it is described under Advertisements below.
When you set up the app and use it, the following information is saved to the app's private storage on your device:
Because your body weight is health-related information, we want to be clear: it is entered by you, used only for an on-device calculation, stored only on your device, and never sent anywhere.
The information above is used solely to make the app work for you — to calculate your suggested goal, show your progress and history, and schedule your reminders. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than the features you see in the app.
The app does not ask for or record:
The developer does not collect any advertising or device identifier. The Google Mobile Ads SDK included in the app does, as described under Advertisements.
Reminders are scheduled and shown by your device's operating system based on the times you choose. Reminder text may show your progress for the day (for example, "You've had 1.2 L today"); you can hide notification content for the app in your device's system settings. The quick actions on a reminder — Log, Snooze, Dismiss, and Open — only read and update the local data described above. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Water Intake Reminder does not share the information you enter (profile, water logs, settings) with third parties. The advertising SDK described below collects its own device data to serve ads. If you choose to use the app's "Share" feature, the selected content is sent directly to the app you pick (such as email or messaging) using your device's native share sheet, and is not routed through us.
The app is free and supported by banner ads served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). To deliver, measure, and prevent fraud in ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process data such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from the IP address, device and app information, and ad interactions. Your profile, water logs, body weight, and settings are never passed to the ad SDK.
If you are in a region where consent is required (such as the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland), the app asks for your choice through Google's consent form before personalised ads are shown, and you can change it at any time from Profile → Ad privacy choices. On Android you can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device's settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).

The only third-party SDK that handles data is the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob), described above. The app does not use third-party analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting services.
The application requests the following permissions, used only to perform the action you request:
Reminders use the system's inexact alarm scheduler, so the app does not request the "Alarms & reminders" permission, and it runs no background service. No camera, photo, storage, location, contacts, or microphone permission is requested. If you deny the notification permission, the app still works — you simply won't receive reminders until you enable it in your device's settings.
The app itself does not use cookies. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may use cookies or similar identifiers (such as the advertising ID) as described above.
Water Intake Reminder is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. It has no account system and transmits none of the information you enter in it.
Your data stays on your device until you remove it. You can permanently erase everything at any time from Profile → Delete My Data, which deletes your profile, all water logs and history, reminder settings, and preferences, cancels every scheduled reminder, and resets the app to its first-launch state. Uninstalling the app also removes all of its stored data. Because nothing is stored on any server, there is no remote copy to request or delete.
Your information is kept in the operating system's private, per-app storage area, which other apps cannot read, and is covered by your device's standard storage encryption. Since the app holds no account credentials and never transmits the information you enter, there is no login or transmission of your data that could be intercepted, and no user data is stored on any server operated by the developer. Ad requests made by the Google Mobile Ads SDK are encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date, and material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
